IMORTANT NEW CHANGES TO REGISTRATION!!!
Going forward all players will be required to register online through the USA hockey website prior to registering with Kent Youth Hockey. Detailed instructions on this procedure are located below. TO ALL HOCKEY PARTICIPANTS
(HOCKEY LEARN TO SKATE, HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT, HOUSE LEAGUE & TRAVEL PARTICIPANTS)
All hockey participants from Hockey Learn to Skate, Development, House League and travel programs, will be required to register directly with USA Hockey. The online process is very simple, and it is outlined below. Kent Youth Hockey will continue to register and pay for all coaches. Guide to Online Registration
The USA Hockey season goes from September 1 through August 31 of each year.
Online registration for the 2008-09 season will be available starting May 1, 2008.
2. Choose member type Ice Player.
3. You must be 18 years of age to process a registration. Check the box that acknowledges that YOU are 18 or older.
4. Select the correct season – 2008-09. USA Hockey will not refund fees if you accidentally register for 2007-08. You will have to repeat this process and register for 2008-09.
5. Follow the prompts…fill in all data correctly. You must enter your child's name as it appears on their birth certificate. NO NICKNAMES
6. Process payment – Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express (credit or debit card). A Visa gift card can be used for payment if no credit card is available
7. You may print your Confirmation page at this time. It will also be emailed to you immediately after the registration is completed. Once you receive the confirmation email from USA Hockey, forward it to The Kent Youth Hockey registrar at

USA Hockey Fees:
Each participant will pay the USA Hockey fee of $30 if age 7 or older.
The USA Hockey fee is waived for age 6 (birth year 2002) and younger but the registration must still be completed to get the confirmation number.
Players who live in CT will also pay the Connecticut Hockey Conference Affiliate fee of $10. Those of you who live in New York will pay the NYSHA fee. The USA Hockey Affiliate fee is determined by a player’s residence, not by the state in which they play, and applies to all youth players regardless of age.
Additional information:
The home address should be used for all participants. If a player lives in one state and plays in another, enter the home address and pay any applicable Affiliate fee. The confirmation page/number will be accepted by any USA Hockey program in the country.

First payment due date extended to July 1, 2008
Kent Youth Hockey will now be accepting registrations by mail for the 2008-2009 season. All paperwork should be mailed to P.O.Box 726, Kent CT 06757. Please note that the deadline for first payments and paperwork to be in has been extended to July 1, 2008.
The following forms can be found under the documents section at left and should be printed, filled out and mailed in for registration:

3. Letter of Commitment
4. Consent to Treat
5. Liability Waiver
Additionally, you need to read (no need to print and bring with you) the following. You will be signing the bottom of the registration form stating that you have read them.

7. Zero Tolerance
Fee schedules can be found on the registration form for each level.
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required at the time of registration on June 14, 2008 (date now extended until July 1, 2008) with the final 50% due on October 1, 2008. A late charge of $50 will be applied if either payment is received after the due date. This policy will be strictly adhered to and all players must be in good financial standing in order to participate at the start of the season.
