October Newsletter
Hello KYH families,
The Board of Directors of Kent Youth Hockey would like to introduce a new feature this season. Our monthly newsletter. It is our hope that with this newsletter we can communicate information and keep everyone updated on a more consistent basis. This newsletter will be emailed once a month and will be posted on the website under the newsletter tab across the top of the home page. The newsletters will contain a wide variety of information, and sometimes will include deadlines for assorted activities so please be sure to take the time and read it through each month. We don't want anyone to miss anything.
Hopefully you all received the "save the date" email about the upcoming clinics on Monday nights run by Kent School varsity hockey coach Matt Herr. These clinics are for all level of skater from learn to skate on up. We welcome our former members that have moved on to teams at the bantam and high school level to join us as well. These clinics will be $20 on an individual basis or $70 for all 4. Payments do not need to be sent in, they will be collected at the Kent rink just prior to the 6:00p.m. start time. A separate email will be forwarded this evening with more complete details.
Our regular season is scheduled to begin on November 1, however, if we are able to obtain some ice prior to that date we will let you all know. We know the skaters are eager to get started.
It is time once again to secure some sponsors for our website. If you or anyone you know would like to be a sponsor to KYH and have their business posted on our website we would greatly appreciate their support. It is fundraisers like "online sponsors" that allow us to operate at as low a cost to you as possible. The cost of sponsorship is $150.
We would like to remind everyone that we really need you to get your USAHockey online registration completed and a copy of the confirmation emailed to
as soon as possible.
One final note, the Board of Directors is looking to fill several key positions and needs your help to do so. One position that needs to be filled asap is that of CHC representative. Our CHC rep had to resign his position effective immediately due to personal reasons and we are looking forward to welcoming him back as soon as he is able, but in the mean time, this is a job that must be filled.
